My love for dogs began at a very young age.
My mother to this day claims that I literally grew
up "In the Dog House."  Whenever they
couldn't find me I would be hiding out in the dog
house with my beloved Prissy, a Lab/Brittany
mix, who passed away when I was fourteen.

My first introduction to the world of purebred
dogs was at the age of seven.  My parents took
the family to see our first dog show.  Well, to say
the least, I was hooked.  In awe of the beauty
and excitement of the dog show scene I vowed
that one day I would own my own show dogs.

For the past 25 years I have had the pleasure of owning a variety of different breeds.
However  my fascination with the Kerry Blue Terrier speaks for itself.  During a tour of
duty in the British Isles I had the opportunity to see these dogs in their glory.   Visiting
local dog shows and speaking with breeders I realized that this was not a popular breed
but it did have a devoted following.

Arriving back in the states and getting myself settled allowed me to continue my search
for my first Kerry Blue.  I visited the dog shows here and spoke with various breeders as
well, allowing me to get to know the breed even better.

My first Kerry Blue Terrier I acquired as a show prospect, a sweet little bitch, named
FeeBee.  Though I did actively show FeeBee I realized that she was not what the
standard called for and decided that she would do best as a family pet.   Not giving up, I
continued my search and decided to speak with some of the breeders in Europe to
inquire about importing a Kerry.

My search led me to the famous Danish Kennel, Kordes. Herman and Birthe Bedsted
have been dedicated to producing champion Kerry Blues for over the past 25 years
and have
some well established bloodlines consisting of one of the oldest Irish lines,
Louisburgh.
After several years of conversing with them  I decided to import a
handsome young dog, Kordes Belle-Peyton Neo Classic, who went on to become and
American Champion.  Wanting to add a
brood bitch to my home I once again set out to
import a lovely
girl from the same kennel, Kordes Very Brilliant.   These two dogs have
since then become the foundation for the Belle-Peyton lineage.

Though I am considered a hobby breeder by some my dedication to
producing dogs
that mirror the
AKC standard is first and foremost.  My Kerries are part of my family
and I do limited breeding and show when my work schedule permits.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Catonsville Kennel Club and I am a
supporting member of the United States Kerry Blue Terrier Club.

My love for animals and the welfare of them has always been a part of my life.
Working as
an Animal Care Technician at the local Animal Control and Adoption Center allows
me to continue to educate the public on responsible pet ownershi
p, as well as, doing what
I love best, which is administering the love and care they need during their stay at the
facility.

Throughout my life I have met some wonderful  dog owners and breeders who  have been
very helpful to me and encouraged me in my goal which is to breed sound, quality, Kerry
Blue Terriers that will make the ultimate canine companion in and out of the show ring.

I hope you enjoy visiting my site and viewing my dogs.
